What if your child spent the fall exploring one of Earth's greatest mysteries?
Our oceans cover more than 70% of the planet, yet we've explored only a small fraction of what's beneath the waves. In this 10-week Marine Science adventure, children will discover fascinating sea creatures, investigate ocean habitats, experiment like marine scientists, create ocean-inspired art, and learn how small actions can make a big difference for our blue planet.
This isn't a sit-and-listen science class. It's a hands-on, play-based experience where children learn through curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and discovery.
Here's what makes it special:
🌊 Real science, taught playfully
We'll investigate ocean zones, marine animals, coral reefs, sound beneath the sea, ocean exploration, and conservation through engaging experiments, demonstrations, games, and hands-on activities. Children won't just learn about the ocean—they'll experience it.
🎨 Art + science woven together
Each week pairs scientific discovery with works from famous artists inspired by the sea. From Hokusai's crashing waves to Wyland's conservation murals, children will explore how the ocean has inspired creativity throughout history while creating their own ocean-themed artwork.
🧠 Confidence-building collaboration & presentations
Students will work together to solve challenges, share discoveries, and practice presenting their ideas in a supportive environment. During our final weeks, each child will have the opportunity to research and present a favorite marine animal or marine science career, building confidence while celebrating their learning.
🤝 Connection & friendship
Meaningful learning happens best in community. Over ten weeks, children build lasting friendships through collaborative activities, shared discoveries, imaginative play, and plenty of laughter along the way.
🛝 Class time + playtime
Each class includes both structured learning and free play at Play Jungle, giving children opportunities to move, connect, and continue building friendships beyond the classroom.
🎶 Multi-sensory & engaging
Through movement, games, experiments, art, music, storytelling, and interactive discussions, every lesson is designed to keep curious minds engaged and excited for the next adventure.
🐢 Real-world experiences
We're also planning optional field trips, including a visit focused on sea turtle conservation and another ocean-themed adventure, allowing students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. (Field trips are optional and may be adjusted based on availability.)

*Field trips admissions ARE already included for the student. Per Step Up for Students requirements, transportation and meals are not included.
Enrollment includes a 10-week Play Jungle membership with 2-hour daily play passes for enrolled children, intentionally designed to foster deep friendships, meaningful connection, and lasting community alongside our classroom experience (membership valued at $267).* During regular business hours, excluding special events.

Who: Elementary-aged homeschoolers (generally ages 5–10)
Pricing: $598 per student, including the full 10-week class and unlimited Play Jungle membership (a $200 value). All materials are included for weekly science experiments, art projects and admission for all field trips.
