Game On: Design Your Own Board Game
🎲 Game On: Design Your Own Board Game
What if learning felt like play, creativity turned into invention, and kids discovered the joy of bringing their own ideas to life?
In this 4-week Game Design Workshop, students will step into the role of inventor, artist, and strategist as they learn how real board games are created. Together we’ll explore what makes games exciting, balanced, and fun — from clever rules to engaging challenges — and then students will design a game of their very own.
Through brainstorming, prototyping, play-testing, and feedback from peers and teachers, students will refine their ideas and experience the creative process used by real designers. By the end of the workshop, each student will leave with a fully playable board game they created themselves.
This class encourages creative thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and confidence, all while having a lot of fun around the game table.
When: Mondays in April, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Where: Play Jungle, off Alta Drive and I-295 in Jacksonville, FL
Who: Best suited for ages 8–12 (older students welcome)
Enrollment also includes 2 hours of open play after each class at Play Jungle — 8 hours total — giving students extra time to deepen friendships and enjoy the playful community that makes Rooted & Rising special.

Meet Tiffany Robins
Hi! I’m Tiffany — homeschool mom, community builder, and founder of Jax Teach. I have an MBA from West Virginia University and have worked in education-focused roles for organizations like Mayo Clinic, but my biggest passion is helping families find meaningful learning, lasting friendships, and joy in their homeschool journey.
Rooted & Rising was born from a desire to create something beautiful for our children — a space where play, creativity, and connection are just as important as academics. I love quiet moments, quality time with my kids, and seeing families flourish together. I'm so glad you're here.
