You don’t have to pack a suitcase to experience the world! Our Culture Explorers class brings the heart of travel and discovery right into the homeschool community. Led by locals who have lived in other countries, each session offers students a chance to “step into” another culture through taste, sound, story, and conversation.

From sampling authentic flavors and learning everyday greetings to exploring traditions, clothing, and celebrations, this class is designed to be interactive and memorable. Students will not sit through a lecture—they’ll experience culture with their senses, ask questions freely, and make connections between life abroad and their own.

Perfect for elementary through high school, Culture Explorers opens a window to the world while nurturing curiosity, empathy, and appreciation for diverse ways of living. It’s a journey of discovery—without ever leaving Jacksonville.

Step into Israeli culture for an afternoon of cooking, conversation, and connection. In this hands-on session led by a teacher who has lived abroad, you’ll:

🇮🇱 Cook and taste authentic Israeli dishes — fresh salads, creamy tahini, and crispy schnitzel
🎶 Experience the energy of Israeli dance and music
🃏 Play popular Israeli card games like Yaniv or Taki (and compete for bragging rights!)
🕎 Discover Hanukkah traditions through food, story, and symbolism
💬 Learn real Hebrew phrases you can actually use — from greetings to slang
