Step into the fascinating world of bees in this hands-on, family-friendly class led by a local beekeeper. Without bringing live bees onsite, students will explore real hive parts, discover the tools beekeepers use, and examine resin-preserved examples of bees in different life stages. The lesson covers the history of beekeeping, the science behind bee behavior, and the unique ways bees communicate. With plenty of visuals, interactive discussion, and a few sweet puns along the way, this 45-minute class makes learning about bees both fun and memorable.
