Have you ever wondered what makes a board game fun, fair, and impossible to stop playing? In Game On! Design Your Own Board Game, students will step into the role of game designers as they explore the creativity, strategy, and problem-solving behind some of the world’s most beloved games.

Over four interactive weeks, students will study different styles of board games, learn what makes rules clear and gameplay exciting, and experiment with elements like chance, strategy, probability, and player interaction. Through brainstorming, sketching, prototyping, and play-testing, each student will design and refine their very own original board game.

This class emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and confident presentation—all in a playful, encouraging environment where students learn by doing. Along the way, students will test games with classmates, give thoughtful feedback, and improve their designs just like real game creators.

At the end of the course, each student will present their finished game and leave with a fully playable board game they created themselves—ready to bring home and share with family and friends.

And because this is a Rooted & Rising and Mindful Endeavors collaborative class, parents can expect the signature touches our families love: hands-on learning, meaningful conversation, creativity, teamwork, and plenty of joyful moments along the way.

📍 Play Jungle – Jacksonville, FL

Price –  $160 with 2 hours of Play Jungle after class (an $80 value) OR $100 without.

To create an engaging and supportive learning environment, this class will be limited to just 15 students.

Students will also have the option to add a Play Jungle play pass for an additional $15, allowing them to enjoy the play space after class.

By the End of the Course, Students Will:
